Happy September!
If you're anything like me, (into bones, bugs, long-extinct and obscure species) you're probably very excited for fall to get here, too. Though I have been slowly adjusting to the southern summer here in my new home in the creative little city of Knoxville, TN, my heart belongs to cold weather and coziness and the spooky tales we share around fires. So here's a roundup of my currently available autumnal and memento-mori items!
(Clockwise from top left: Pale Death paper entomology original, But A Dry Spell linocut print, Autumn Moths: Ranchman's Moth paper entomology original, final Hope Eternal limited edition linocut print. All available in the Beastie and Bone online shop.)
Handmade with renewable, long-lasting archival materials like acid-free recycled cotton paper, mulberry paper, and custom shadowbox frames, these autumnal goodies will last much, much longer than the mass-produced decor items popular in home goods shops this time of year, too.
I'm not above a cute ghost mug or a skeleton I can sit on my shelf, either. But items that are made to last more than a season or two means you can keep your memento-mori, dark-naturalism, spooky decor up all year round without it fading or showing wear or tear! And as someone who has had the same dried branches and leaves up in my living room for the past two years and anxiously hand-washes my cute but macabre printed mugs hoping they won't fade too quickly... I understand the benefits of that.
All items shown here are available in the Beastie and Bone online shop, and more in the same vein will be coming in this month's shop update on September 23rd!
Be well, Stacia
