Lucky Dogwood Linocut Miniprint

The dogwood tree is a beloved symbol of creativity and nature in Knoxville, TN, due in large part to the local art nonprofit Dogwood Arts. But with the southern US one of the most diverse areas regarding paleontological finds, it also harkens back to a more ancient time, as the ancestors of dogwood trees native to this area first appeared in the early Paleocene or late Cretaceous periods.

Combined with the wishbone from the Beastie and Bone logo, this Lucky Dogwood print represents all the happy twists and turns of evolution that led to this beautiful family of trees we know today!

Lucky Dogwood is printed by hand on archival recycled cotton watercolor paper with water-based ink. 5”x7”

Slight variations in ink transfer and paper between prints are a natural and beautiful result of the linocut printing process.
