Queen of the Night Paper Original
A zoomed-in take on the It Thirsts At Night illustration and print (The North American Megafauna Project, #7), Queen of the Night focuses on the beauty of the small but still fanged skull of the Stock’s Vampire Bat, against a bed of petals from the equally beautiful and parasitic Queen of the Night flower.
The Stock’s Vampire Bat was a megafauna species once native to Mexico and the Southern United States, where Queen of the Night cacti are an endangered species today.
Made entirely by hand out of recycled cotton paper, renewable mulberry paper, ink, gouache, and watercolor. Framed in a black wood 8” x 10” shadowbox frame with shatterproof acrylic glazing.
