Horned Monster Miniprint

$10.00

Having the name "meat-eating bull", intricately scaled skin, and keratin-sheathed horns, Carnotaurus could certainly be a horror-flick monster. While not as big as other popular predators like T. rex, Carnotaurus was the fastest known large carnivore, and built like a muscle-packed bullet. A blunt skull with a large nasal cavity - meaning a sharp sense of smell - sat on a thick neck and a streamlined body with a long counterbalancing tail. With practically nonexistent arms and unusually agile and flexible jaws, the main focus of Carnotaurus’ build was to move its maw after prey and gulp them down whole.

As someone who had recurring childhood nightmares of being swallowed alive by (of all things) a giant squid, this last factoid gives me the heebie jeebies. So let us be grateful that if some stray lightning bolt would shock life Frankenstein-style into the only Carnotaurus skeleton so far discovered (by José Bonaparte in Argentina) it could not actually camouflage itself as shown in the film Jurassic World: Evolution. Not being able to see this speedy snake-like carnivore coming would just be too much.

Printed in the US on recycled heavy cardstock. 5" x 7”

As with all Patreon designs, this item is single-run only, and once sold out, will not be restocked.
