By combining prehistoric North American species with contemporary local flora, the goal of the North American Megafauna Project by Beastie and Bone is to help inhabitants of the United States view their backyards, local parks, and nearby conservation areas with new appreciation. The spike-toothed salmon, Oncorhynchus rastrosus, no longer leaps up the rivers of the Pacific Northwest – but it's descendant the sockeye salmon, as well as sea wolves, marbled murrelets, island marble butterflies, and many other endangered species now live along the Pacific coast. If we don't take care of them and their habitat, they very well may become as obscure to us as O. rastrosus is now.

Ancient Keystone is constructed of nearly 40 individual pieces of 100% recycled cotton watercolor paper and handmade artist papers, and detailed with India ink, watercolors, and acrylic paint. It is framed within a custom wood 26" x 16" shadowbox with archival matting and UV-blocking, anti-shatter Conservation Clear acrylic glazing.

Comes with certificate of authenticity and wire on back for easy hanging.
