From The Other Side of Time is a celebration of southeastern U.S. paleontology and natural history, starring an Appalachiosaurus skull surrounded by oh-so-southern magnolia blooms and Hercules beetles.
Appalachiosaurus is named for the Appalachian region in which its fossils has been found, which in turn is named for the Apalachee (meaning approximately “from the other side of the river”), a group of Muskogean Native Americans who had already lived in the southeastern area of the US before European colonization.
